Kefee Defends Early Morning Sex’s Comment

Image

Branama exponent and singer that bared it all on her Twitter handler a few days ago that “early morning sex is good” has come out to defend her comment and stated that she didn’t regret her comment.

The ace gospel act, Irirkefi Obarike, otherwise known as Kefee has been at the receiving end of harsh criticisms by angry Nigerians especially her teeming fans over the recent tweet where she said: “Morning ‘knacking’ is the best I swear.”

While she was receiving critism and attacks over her post, the Niger-Delta born gospel sensation has come out to defend her comment, affirming that she’s not regretting her tweet but only trying to be factual.

The Kokoroko crooner in an interview with the Punch said that she didn’t regret her comment on Twitter.

“I never knew Twitter would generate such number of comments. I was being factual. That was how I felt that particular time. I don’t regret the post, she said.”

When her marriage to her former manager, Alec Godwin hit the rock a few years back, many had concluded that the Sapele, Delta State-born gospel act would never survive the negative publicity and its attendant trauma.

But surprisingly, the Branama Queen as she is fondly called by fans and admirers, has continued to soar like an eagle that is truly destined for the top as she settled down with popular on air personality.

As innnnnnnnnn this no send anybody opinion sha…Lmao!!!!

Nigeria Oil Production Ends In 41 Years – World Bank

Nigeria’s oil reserve will be depleted in 41 years, according to a World Bank Group’s twice-yearly analysis of the issues shaping Africa’s economic prospects called Africa’s pulse.

The report which was presented by the World Bank’s chief economist for Africa, Shantayanan Devarajan, on Thursday said Nigeria’s and Angola’s oil reserves will be depleted in 41 and 21 years respectively.

“Nigeria, the largest regional producer, can keep supplying at 2011 levels for another 41 years, while Angola, the second largest producer in the region, has about 21 years remaining at current production levels before its known reserves are depleted.

“Given the size of these reserves, it is likely that the dependence on oil resources in these countries are likely to continue in the near to medium term. Production in newly oil-rich countries such as Ghana and Uganda could also last for several years.”

According to the World bank’s chief economist, Mineral wealth in African countries including Nigeria don’t translate to prosperity because the money accruing from it doesn’t pass through the citizens, and the citizens don’t see the wealth as theirs.

Nigeria Floods Kill Dozens, Wash Hippos, Crocodiles Into Homes

 Image

The floods have left 148 people dead and affected 21 of the nation’s three dozens states, according to the local Red Cross.

“Torrential downpours in recent weeks have caused widespread destruction and forced many families into makeshift camps,” the aid agency said on its website. “An estimated 134,000 people have now been affected by the floods and concern is growing about the spread of waterborne diseases.”

The floods have affected a series of states, including Bayelsa and Benue. In Bayelsa state, an official said the area’s terrain has intensified the effects of the downpour.

“It is like Florida … swampy with a lot of sea water mixed with fresh water because we are close to rivers and the Atlantic (ocean),” said Tam Alazigha, the chief economic adviser for the state.

“A lot of people have been displaced. Snakes, crocodiles and hippos have been displaced and are ending up in people’s homes. Everyone has been displaced.”

Alazigha said more rain is forecast and authorities are evacuating residents to shelters that have been set up in schools located on higher ground.

“The bad part is … there is no relief yet,” he said. State officials are working to enhance drainage around the buldging rivers, according to the adviser.

“Our main goals are to help settle the displaced people and improve on the drainage,” he said. “Our hope is that when the drainage gets better and the waters subside, we can deploy more resources to see how much we can save.”

Alazigha said the amount of rain was unexpected. “It took us by surprise,” he said. “We need help from those agencies that are out there that usually help out in situations like these. All hands are on deck, but it is quite a challenge.”

In the state of Benue, more than 25, 000 people were displaced after a local river overflowed, the National Emergency Management Agency said.

Nigeria’s rainy season occurs between May and October. Torrential rains are especially hard on communities in rural areas, where drainage is inadequate or nonexistent.

Last month, authorities urged residents living along River Niger to move to higher ground. The evacuation order affected the states of Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Kebbi, Anambra and Delta.
